Spanish courses in Spain for Irish secondary school students



We were delighted to welcome three Spanish secondary school teachers from Ireland over to Valencia last week.

Angela Hughes, Dáire Farrelly and Margaret Farrell are all members of ATS Ireland – the Association of Teachers of Spanish. CSS Valencia attended the ATS Ireland annual conference last September with Angela, Dáire and Margaret the three lucky winners of the competition we held at the event.

Over their two day visit to Valencia, we wanted to show the teachers some of the sample activities we do with the Irish secondary school students who attend our Spanish Transition Year Intensive and Spanish Summer Courses. As well as taking part in walking tour of the historic centre of Valencia, we explored the modern City of Arts & Sciences, watched a 3D projection in the Hemispheric and took an art studio class. We enjoyed taking a catamaran trip from Valencia marina before having a traditional paella lunch at the beach. The teachers visited the CSS Valencia premises to check out where all our Transition year courses take place.

This was an enjoyable few days exploring Valencia together, and we look forward to seeing them again at this year’s ATS Ireland conference in October 2024.
