Every Saturday we have a full-day’s activity. We had been looking forward to this one for the past week: a trip to the Aquópolis aquatic park! We met with Liam and Carla, the CSS reps, at the metro stop of Benimaclet where we took the metro to the Estación del Norte, the main train station in Valencia.
From here we took a regional train to the small town of Cullera, 45 minutes south of Valencia, where we took a connecting bus to the waterpark. We had so much fun! We all enjoyed racing down the slides, taking inflatable boats down the Amazonia river and zip-lining across the water (and falling in many times!). We were really lucky too as, with temperatures of “only” 24C today, it wasn’t warm enough for the Spaniards and so we could enjoy all of the rides of the waterpark without any of the usual queues.
On our way home we stopped for ice-cream in Emily’s favourite cafe and said an emotional goodbye to Ailbhe and Emily who are leaving for Dublin tomorrow. They have been such great fun and we are really going to miss them.
