After classes in the morning, we went to the Nuevo Centro shopping centre where we got a chance to do some shopping and check if McDonald’s in Spain is much different to McDonald’s in Ireland; something very important for teenagers who don’t want to risk tasting unknown foods in another country!!
Not surprisingly there was very little difference between the two!
We spent the evening with José and a group of students from the AIP academy doing a climbing activity (escalada in Spanish) on an outdoor artificial climbing wall. This was great fun as well as a challenge – it was quite a climb to the top and we all finished quite tired but exhilarated!! Afterwards, we all headed home for la cena (dinner) with our Spanish families. We sent each other messages on the WhatsApp group to just let each other know that we had all arrived home safely, even though we all live quite close to the Benimaclet metro stop.
