CSS attended the 2018 Association of Teachers of Spanish (ATS) Conference at the Green Isle Hotel in Clondalkin, Dublin last weekend. Spanish teachers from all over Ireland were in attendance at the event, which included workshops, speeches and presentations. This was the biggest and best ATS conference held so far – an indication perhaps of the growing popularity of Spanish as a subject in secondary schools in Ireland.
The Spanish teachers were very interested in both our Spanish Transition Year offering – a course that gives students complete immersion in a Spanish secondary school from 4 weeks to a complete academic year, and our 2019 Spanish Summer Course in Valencia. CSS had a stand throughout the conference, with Liam, Alba and Marta representing us.
We also had meetings arranged with parents of students who were thinking of coming over to us to Valencia. This gave us a chance to talk in detail about our courses and to answer any questions that parents had.
Both our Transition Year course and the 2019 Summer Course are now open for bookings. Our Transition Year course is proving very popular, with some parents already making reservations for their children for 2019 – the majority of them for a period of six weeks.
