We were delighted to welcome four Spanish secondary school teachers from Ireland over to Valencia last week.
Lorna Hosford, Kelleyanne Ryan, Lola Villaescusa and Maria Elena Olaya are all members of ATS Ireland – the Association of Teachers of Spanish. CSS Valencia attended the ATS Ireland annual conference last October with Lorna, Kelleyanne, Lola and Maria Elena the four lucky winners of the competition we held at the event.
Over their two day visit to Valencia, we wanted to show the teachers some of the sample activities we do with the Irish secondary school students who attend our Spanish Transition Year Intensive and Spanish Summer Courses. As well as taking part in Valencian dance classes and yoga at the beach, visiting the historic centre of Valencia, having a paella lunch and going on a catamaran trip, the teachers visited the CSS Valencia premises and had dinner on both nights in the city centre.
We certainly enjoyed looking after the ladies over the few days, and we look forward to seeing them again at this year’s ATS Ireland conference.
