We do our weekly exam on Wednesdays. Today is our last one. The result will be displayed on our finishing certificates and I have to admit, it was quite challenging!
After classes we walked to Parque Viveros with Gema and she showed us the ruins of an old Palace from hundreds of years ago when the royal family used to live here in Valencia.
We stopped for an ice-cream at an outdoor café in the park and although we were supposed to visit an art museum and a natural science museum located in and around the park, we were having so much fun practicing our Spanish with Gema that we decided to stay there chatting instead of going to the museums! We played a game where Evie and Mícheál had to guess the meaning of Spanish words which myself or Gema picked. We also practised the Spanish oral role play! Mícheál has internet access because he bought a cheap SIM card here in Spain so he was able to download the role plays for the Junior and Leaving Cert so we had a good laugh practicing these and I was very impressed with how well Evie was able to answer each question, even the ones she hadn’t prepared with her teacher in Ireland! We also decided to find out how many words we could think of related to topics such as body parts and clothes and Gema helped us learn some new words too! We really enjoyed this time in the park in the nice weather.
