Oh my god! Terra Mitica = Class Craic = Muy Guay! What a fun way to spend our last full Saturday here! Terra Mitica is a theme park located in Benidorm and it is top notch! We all met at 9am and the CSS reps Liam and Gema drove myself, Evie and Mícheál to the theme park whch is 120kms south of Valencia, a 1.5 hour drive.
We were so lucky: the high season on the Spanish coast hasn’t started yet and so there were no queues. We could go on the rides over and over again! El Vuelo de Fénix involved a sudden drop from about 70 metres! Definitely not for the faint hearted! El Tornado was made up of aerial swings which rose to a height of 80 metres! The views were amazing and it felt like we were flying – although it was very scary to look down! Títánide was one of the best rollercoasters with speeds of 100kms/hour, 360 degree loops and barrel-roll loops and all while our feet were dangling below!! Synkope, which was my favourite, was a large arm which swung from side to side while gently spinning. I thought it gave a cool sensation of falling combined with excellent views!
Las Cataratas del Nilo (the Rapids of the Nile) and La Furia de Tritón (Triton’s Fury) were two water rides where we got absolutely soaked! It was a nice way to cool off in the heat of the day and Liam bought us some hilarious photos of us getting soaked! Before leaving we had a ice-cream while we dried off! Of course we stopped for lunch during the day-trip but not for too long as we were so eager to get back onto the rides! All in all we had a great day!
