Today was our final day in the AIP Academy, we had a normal day in classes with a few rounds of Kahoot thrown in! Afterwards, we all got our certificates with our levels and names on them given to us. We got class photos with our certificates and said goodbye to the teachers and the school! It was quite emotional!
Afterwards, we had the option of either having free time or going to play volleyball on the beach with José. As it was a little cloudy, we all chose to take free time and spend our last free day exploring and enjoying Valencia with our friends. Iseult and Ione decided to take a trip into the centre of Valencia for some last minute shopping! They went to El Corte Inglés and the many other stores in and around the city. Leena and I met up with some of our friends from the AIP Summer camp and decided to go and buy a load of food in Mercadona! It was one of the student’s birthday’s and she was turning 16, so we brought all the food we bought into the lounge in the academy and had a small celebration for her birthday.
Afterwards, we went took a trip to TGB for some ice-cream. Later that evening, Iseult and Ione went out to an underage disco with the daughter of Iseult’s host family! They had a great time and also had to speak Spanish to other people as well as the Iseult’s Spanish sister. Here is Spain, people stay out very late in comparison to what we are used to in Ireland! But the streets are well lit up and there is a great buzz with families enjoying the fresh night air.
