In our classes in AIP, we split into two teams, one team watched the start of a short animated film called “La Bruxa”, while the other watched the end of the film. Then both teams had to work together (speaking Spanish) to establish what happened throughout the video to fill in the missing pieces.
It was great as we got to talk in Spanish and it was a new way of learning Spanish, I had never done that before but really enjoyed it. The whole morning flew by because we were having fun.
When classes finished up in AIP, we went with our tour guide José to the “Bioparc” which is the biggest natural wildlife park in Europe. It is very like Fota Wildlife Park is in Cork! We saw many animals from the continent of Africa and had a good time. There was a large group of us so we all spread out and enjoyed the zoo at our own pace. We’ve already made friends from Hong Kong, Russia, Cyprus, England, the United States, Hungary, France and Italy so it was a good opportunity to spend time together and get to know each other better. Gemma has also become friends with a teacher from Italy who is here with some of her students. We got some cool up-close photos of the animals, including a Baboon’s bum!!
