After our AIP Lessons in the morning, we headed for the science museum in Valencia! The City of Arts and Science is a very modern area of Valencia located near the port at the end of the old riverbed park. I don’t know much about architecture but the buildings here are so futuristic!
One of them is surrounded by an artificial pond of water which provides a beautiful backdrop of photos and is also use for some light water activities such as canoeing and zorbing. The Science museum is in one of these modern buildings and we there saw many scientific things such as an electricity show and baby chicks hatching from their eggs! There were some really interesting facts relating to gravity, weight, light exposure and sound, but it’s difficult to describe! You’ll just have to come and see for yourself!! We also went to an Electricity Show in the Science Museum, where an employee of the museum showed us all the different properties of electricity, and finished up by turning on a 1,000,000 Volt Rod that produced a huge spark of electricity inside of a “faraday cage”, which was used to guide away the current and keep us safe. It was extremely loud but also jaw droppingly cool.
