In the AIP Academy, for our last class of the morning we usually have a change of teachers, and our second teacher is called Antonio. During the last 15 minutes of our lesson, we did a “Kahoot” quiz which is basically an interactive online competitive educational game for the classroom…or a quiz using our phones as answer pads.
We did a quiz on the past tense and the tension built in the class towards the end to see who would come out victorious. I hadn’t realise how competitive I actually was until I played this!
After class, a large group of us went to a ‘campo de fútbol’ in the old riverbed park. We all took part and had fun, although in the end the Italians pinned us to the post by one goal! We enjoyed the craic and enjoyed seeing another part of the old riverbed park. Gemma got very competitive at one point and threw herself in front of the ball as it was kicked by one of the Italians and in her best GAA style blocked it with her arm, although she ended up with a whopper of a bruise on her arm! Leena proudly participated with her green Kerry jersey while Andrea, Ione and Iseult cheered us on from the side-lines and took some action shots of the game! I’m not a soccer player myself but neither were most of the others so it was good craic trying to play so considering we were amateurs, we didn’t do too bad in the end!
