My parents had been in another part of Spain on holiday while I was in Valencia and they had always wanted to pay Valencia a visit, so they popped up for the weekend. Gemma and I showed them the city centre, the Old River Bed Park, the City of Arts and Sciences, and some other historical parts of the city.
They loved Valencia and all the things to do. Afterwards, we went and had food at the Olympia Hotel in Alboraya, where they were staying. We enjoyed an all you can eat buffet! Afterwards, my parents and Gemma came to my Spanish host family’s home and met my Spanish mother and father. Gemma and I had to do most of the translating but they all seemed to be very happy to have met one another.
Today, Leena, Ione and Iseult went with CSS to the Oceanográfico Aquarium, beside the City of Arts and Sciences! There are all sorts of fish, sharks, octopus and squid, there is also an area full of all different kinds of birds and ducks. After a tour of Oceanográfico, they went to watch a show in the park where dolphins and seals gave a great performance! The dolphins were jumping out of the water and the seals were doing all sorts of tricks, then being rewarded with fish! we all had a good day and the girls said they enjoyed their trip to Oceanográfico.
