Unfortunately, Conor is leaving tomorrow so he got his certificate today. He was a bit camera shy so didn’t want a photo taken, but he was happy to get his certificate. In the afternoon, we had our oral class with Marta in CSS. Afterwards, we got a bus out to Poble Do Farnals where we did the surfing last week with the Aussie Surf Club.
We were going to do surfing but there were not enough waves so we decided to do paddle surfing instead. Ruben spoke to us in Spanish while helping us learn how to paddle surf. I was pretty confident because I had done it last year and I wasn’t long getting back into the swing of it! Everyone else managed to do it fairly quickly too so to keep things interesting, Ruben brought us out a bit further and around at rock pier that was jutting out. This was a bit tougher because the water got a bit choppier the further out we went. It was fun though! It wasn’t hard to get back on the board if you fell off and we were in good hands with Ruben! He had a GoPro with him this week so we got some pictures too! We had some free time when we got back to the city because we got back early so I headed to ‘La Arena’ shopping centre in Machado, which is another area of Valencia city, close to Benimaclet (where AIP is located), to do a bit of shopping. The girls went to Mercadona where they got Ice-Cream and went to eat it and chat in a park and Conor went back home to pack his bags. We texted the group to let them know we were home before 9pm. We were all wrecked and slept like logs.
